When I first wrote about my experience of psychedelic therapy, I feared I’d be shunned, or worse. What it inspired instead was an unexpected thread of connection.
Yes to all of this, and especially the vulnerability opening doors to more vulnerability. And then finding that the vulnerability might be the strongest parts of ourselves yet. So looking forward to reading more of your journey.
I wrote about my (so far one-time) experience with mushrooms a few weeks ago and agree it can be hard to share! I had to message my mum in advance to warn her... but mostly I just worried people would find it boring. (Maybe because I've listened to my partner talk about his psychedelic experience in great depth and while it's interesting...there are limits.) Still trying to figure out how to write about what I took from it without sounding preachy or like a broken record. Glad you've found connection through sharing and as a newbie to the world of psychedelics I hope you share more!
Ha! And thank you. Yup: Kind of like listening to someone describe their dreams, but even less interesting. One of the main reasons I started down this path was because very few people were tackling the subject from a literary angle. Trying to change that, one post at a time....

Ah thank you Kimberly! Feel 100% the same towards yours....
Beautiful, Seth. I loved reading about this connection and how it was facilitated by you being brave about being you on the page.
Thanks friend! Yup; you'd think I would've learned by now: It always sparks connection.

Your writing is so beautiful and compassion and relatable.
Thanks Dear! Appreciate that more than you know....
